Donor Opportunities

Grant awards are not the only means by which Lutheran Ministry Foundation carries out its mission and purpose.

Equally vital, and just as necessary, is the opportunity LMF provides individual Lutherans to assist ministries through gifts, bequests and devises to LMF. It is with God's blessing, and through the generosity of various individuals, that LMF is able to assist ministries in sharing the Gospel.

LMF accepts both restricted and unrestricted gifts which are compatible with the tenets of the Lutheran faith. Unless directed otherwise by the donor, the principal of the gift is placed in the general fund of LMF, while the income is distributed in grant awards to ministries. This enables LMF to meet the needs, both now and in the future, of ministries while assuring the donor that his or her gift will be a perpetual source of assistance for ministries as the Gospel is spread.

Additionally, because LMF is a recognized tax-exempt organization, donations, gifts and bequests to LMF are tax deductible.
